Help strange noise!!!

I have a S1 Lotus Elise which has an unusual noise! When the engine gets very hot say after a long run. There is a metalic noise from the engine compartment which sounds like the engine is going to fall out!!! It goes after about 10 mins when the engine cools down. Has anybody got any clues or suggestions.

Hi Dave,

Not many S1s made it over here, and the ones that did were not street legal. You might want to ask your question on SELOC | Lotus Enthusiasts Club.
