K20A Swap with Air Cond - Possible?

Hi Guys I'm new to this forum and hope some experts can help

I'm planing to get a S1 Lotus with the Rover Engine in it and got so impressed by the Honda K20A performance. However the climate here in Australia will stop me from getting a performance car without an air-cond...

There are some off the shelf kit for such a swap but most of them will not keep the air cond system. Is there an air-cond enabled K20A kit in the market?

Thanks a million

Welcome to LT

No is the answer to your question though

I went into this at great length and firstly aircon equipped S1s are rare as hens teeth and I only know of 1 in Australia (they were all assembled in Malaysia for the Asian market). If you want aircon you are looking at an S1 Exige (of which there were 7 sold in Australia - so slim pickings there to) or an S2. And no it is not possible to retrofit aircon to a non-AC Elise - and I did A LOT of research into this. So I drive an S2 in Perth

Cheers!

That kit does not retain the AC (on AC equipped S2 conversions) although they are looking into that.

Thanks a million Aedo!! So what you meant is I may better to look for a S2 Elise or a S1 Exige with a factory a/c systerm as the donor?

Lucky I asked before I committed to my friend's S1 though...

So did you do the swap yourself? or engage the Kirrapak in Sydney?

I was planning to do it myself but just worry dont have the time for it...

I've got a 111S so kept the Rover for now - when I can out-drive the car stock I'll swap in the Honda
