You are supposed to use the bolts to replace the bolts on the bracket.

Chococar/Joe
Good questions. First. All kits are now 2nd generation and have the update hardware included. When I said bellcrank I meant to say bellcrank rod end. So you will need to screw in the bellcrank rod end all the way and then turn it out 5 turns. If you do not it will not have enough clearence for the sheath protector. As for the extra parts. You have the two longer bolts/flat washer/ lock washer that hold the cable bracket there. These replace the stock bolts, which will work, I am just wanted more threads to make contact so I supplied longer bolts to just make sure. You can use the stock bolts if you want, but you should change them out with the longer one. If you just do one at a time it should fit the same and be easy to do. The hose clamps go on the end of the sheath protectors and hold it them in place so you have to put them on. You should not have to take it all apart to do it and can just slip them on when assembled. The zip tie is for the leather on the shifter up front. I did this as I found it easier to just cut the zip tie and take the console off so if you did not have to do that then it is not needed. I just wanted to supply everything that is needed to do the swap. I am also going to update the LETSLA page and instructions here soon. I have worked on the site a bit and changed the look a little bit. I even added a blog section. I know I am so modern, NOT, we will see how long it lasts. It is more about the future 3 wheel vehicle project there. I hope to have something new items coming out here soon. Once I get it here I will test it out and give out full details. I am really excited about them. One rhymes with shirt with a side in front. That is all for a teaser right now.

Thanks, Joe p.s. the stock bolts were plenty long enough, but I used the new ones anyway. |

The sheath protectors slide onto the plastic sheaths up to the joint. On the end with the slit in it you put the hose clamp. The hose clamp holds the sheath in place.

Another happy customerAno
Another ump for a great product. I bought version 1 when it first came out, but never got around to installing it. I then bought the upgrade to version 2 and it sat on the shelf too. I saw that Troy was attending SEMA so I sent him a PM asking if he had time to do the installation if I brought the Exige to SEMA this week. He was more than happy to do so, even swapping my parts for a totally new set and bringing his own tools. Needless to say my 2006 Exige felt completely different on the way home. Clearly another case of “this is how Lotus should have made it.”
