Apparently mine is ready and can be picked up tomorrow... But I don't have a ride yet... It feels too good to be true. So good that I don't even believe it yet

The easiest and fastest way to uninstall the studs is to buy a stud puller kit. About $30 at advanced auto parts for the AmPro 4pc Stud Puller set. (part number T75928). I had the same problem and this got them out in a jiffy.

I did. It can easily be reused. Good luck with your install.

Next question. when I adjusting the bushing, what is consider the inside? Am i suppose the push the bushing towards the passenger side of the car?

Thank You
Since the studs won't be reused a medium sized pipe wrench (plumbers) makes it easy. About a 10 or 12 inch one.

Yes, bushing towards PS.

I think all of us had it.

Per Charlie, as long as it is not flashing it is fine. Mine went off after a couple of cycles and a short drive.

Back to the MAS

My local auto parts has ordered a can of the Mass Air Sensor Cleaner, I think it is by CRC. I hopefully will clean it tonight. I guess you simply spray the probe sticking into the intake tube (after you take it out). My ECU should be back either today or tomorrow. If it starts and no leaks, I then have the chore of putting the clam back on. The local Advance has an OBDII scan tool to test the MAS. When should this be done, as it is suppose to be done while you drive WOT in second gear. I have read a numerous posts on here about breakin procedures, and running above 8200rpms seems pretty harsh to begin with. Evidently this can't be done as soon as the s/c is installed.
Sorry for always asking questions!

After the car is warm etc. you can take the car up to high RPMs to check this. Just get there using less than WOT. the critical RPM range, as CharlieX mentioned, is about 4500-5800rpms. Above 6k roll into WOT and check. As I mentioned before, strongly recommended to have someone help while you drive!

check engine light

Well i took the car out for a drive and the check engine light started blinking. On the lotus ecu does the blinking mean the ecu is throwing codes, if so can you read the codes by the blinking or do you need a obd2 scanner.

Just wanted to let everyone know I go my ECU back. I put it on, put the fuse boxes back on and then put the fuel pump fuse back in. I attached the battery and went and got a fire extinguisher (I sure hoped it was not needed). I got in the car, crossed my fingers and tried to start the car. NOTHING! Then it hit me, push the starter button. The car hesitated starting for maybe 2 seconds, then purred like a kitten. I put down the fire extinguisher and looked for leaks. None! The CEL light is not even on, although it may come on. I let it idle till it got to 170, then turned it off. I was sure wanting to rev the engine, but I didn't want to deviate from the instructions. The clam will be on tonight, and I will be SUPERCHARGED! That is for sure worth 3 dancing bananas!
Once again, thanks Rick for all the encouragement!
Rick

Yes, it means you have something going on. You need a scan tool. Make sure you check all the electrical connections.

Alot of times you can go to Checker or Advance Autoparts and they will let you borrow one. They "sell" you the shop one. When you return it, they refund your money.

Check engine light

Thanks. I ended up finding out it was one of the injector plugs, I pushed it in and set the ecu and everything worked.

Oh man - I finished my install tonight and the car started right up when I ran in to this issue:

I did a preliminary alignment of the hinges (hand tight) on the engine lid of my 06 Exige and then closed the lid to see how it fit. Now I pull the release and it won't let go of the lid. I can hear the release cable working but the lid wont budge. I had a friend wiggle and try to shake it free but nothing seems to work. I am dying to take the car out for a spin but don't want to risk it.

30 mins later - I got the lid open and can't wait to take her out.

Well, I am up and running as of yesterday. FVMC did a neat and professional job (as you would expect), the car passed its MAS test with flying colors, and (knock on wood) everything seems to be just fine.

Between the little supercharger whine (like an eager puppy straining on a leash) and the mid-rev power that has magically appeared, the car has a very different personality. I've already put about 125 miles of varied driving on it, resisting the temptation to use WOT with great difficulty.

I think once I hit 200 miles I will be able to resist no longer...

I have good luck with these people.

Inexpensive OBD II Scan Tool at D.I.Y. Diagnostics.com - - - Turn off that check engine light!

Jim,

That looks similar to what I use; a software package called car-code OBD-2. I spent about $100, but it does everything.
