Question about afr's lambda and wideband sensor

What are normal afr's for a lotus with forced induction?

I've not heard of Zeitronix?? Got a web site? NGK and Bosch seem popular wideband sensors. Did you calibrate it? Is it hooked up to anything that data logs so you can review?

11.5 - 12.5

Hopefully Kris or Phil and/or others with a lot of experience will chime in.

It's normal that it jumps all over when you step/release gas pedal.

Wide Band Air Fuel Ratio Meter is where I purchased it from. I saw two members who used this setup however one is on a turbo car and the other was on an evo. Calibrate it? I don't see that in the instructions.

The one I have (which I believe is the same as TurboPhil) NGK wideband has a button on the display box to calibrate. basically hold the sensor up in the air, hit the button and wait for Cali to complete.

I'd also like to see a brief turorial. I know it's going to go up and down under different loads, but it would be nice to hear a concise opinion. Timing tips would also be appreciated.

Kris or Phil?

I have used the Innovate WBO2 products for years now - I use an LM-1 for temporary use in tuing and an LC-1 for permanent installs. There are many gauge options, search around. Given the affordable cost of WBO2 sensors, they really are a must for tuning and a decent idea for permanent use, just like oil pressure and water temp. Innovate is the best-supported WBO2 maker out there, it seems to me, and the units can be modified, via software, to output an analog signal as a function of lambda in most any shape you like.

As for A/F ratio, I like to see no more than 12:1 for forced induction, for safety I tune my car to run 11-11.5:1 under boost. At cruise and part throttle (closed loop) you will see 14.7:1 and be wary of trying to mess with that, as you will be fighting a stock computer's algorithm designed to adjust fuel injector duty cycle to achieve that number under closed loop.

Excellent, thanks. I just bought an LC-1 and gauge package to be installed next week.
