Bahhhh...the mods closed down the first thread I made of this header when I posted up that really cheap price. Didn't want to get in trouble for posting up the cheapest price again!

anywhere that has them in stock? Going to be desperate to get something in ASAP

Comfirmed with another shop that Weapon R will not be shipping another batch for a long time, so you'll have to find somewhere that actually stocks them.
Is that from the website I posted? I heard Weapon R stopped making batches of them as well, but I didn't know some of those websites didn't have'm in stock...oh well. Time to hunt them while you can.

As for them being sold on eBay...I don't seem to see them after searching...

Yep, same thing happened to me too! Just received a refund from Upscale Automotive LLC. They sent me the following message:

Brian, thank you for your order from Upscale Automotive. Unfortunately, the Weapon R Street Header for 05-06 Lotus Elise is no longer in stock and no longer produced by Weapon R. We have canceled your order, notified eBay, left positive feedback, and refunded your payment. Alternatively, the WR Race Header for the 05-06 Lotus Elise is in stock and available on our website at Upscale Automotive. The Race Header will cause a Check Engine Light on the Elise and the WR CEL Fix O2 Housing is required to remedy this problem. In lieu of the situation at hand, we can include the WR O2 Housing for free if you order the Race Header - simply make a note that you'd like the WR O2 Housing when placing your order. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do for you.

I want to formally apologize that the Weapon R Street Header for the 05-06 Lotus Elise is no longer in stock and is discontinued by Weapon R. An e-mail has been sent to those of you that ordered explaining this and notifying you that a refund and cancelation has been processed. Additionally, we also notified you that the Weapon R Race Header for 05-06 Lotus Elise is in stock, more than 15 of them at the time of this post. The Weapon R Race Header will throw a Check Engine Light, so the Weapon R CEL Fix O2 Housing is needed to remedy that problem. In regards to the situation involving the Street Header being out of stock and unavailable, we will include a CEL Fix O2 Housing FREE with your order of the Race Header if you make a note during checkout to the effect of "Lotus Talk 'UserName' - Please Include FREE O2 Housing." This offer is good for all Lotus Talk Members and those who have already attempted to order the Street Header. This offer is good through August 1st.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and hope that we can help you further in the future. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you for the time being. We are interested in improving our Lotus parts selection as well and would appreciate any suggestions or requests for specific parts to be added to our offering.

**For those that have requested international shipping quotes, our shipping manager has been out of town and will fill those quote requests as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

I know dusty at nolimits still has the race header for 505 shipepd, which is cheaper than upscale... I guess I'll go down that road... Ughh... I was so excited about the $300 header... This week just isn't really going my way... Where's my rose colored specs anyway?

Cheers,

Phil

Edit: Ooops, no offense to upscale. Didn't see your post prior to posting my comments above. Thanks for the effort to make things right...

It sounds like we're SOL on the shorty... They seem to be sold out just about everywhere

There's always the DC header. Dave was running one of those and I think it worked well. It's a stock replacement style header as well... They are also quite inexpensive...

DC Sports 4-2-1 Ceramic Header 1pc. Toyota Celica GT-S 00-03.3

Although we're now over the 300 mark, which has me leaning toward the long tube variant... hmmm....

Man this is just a bad deal all around... Trying to make lemonade out of lemons here... But really, could it get any worse?

Jim, you have time to call? I have got to boogie and won't have time tonight and in meeting a good chunk of tomorrow. 300 is the magic number. After that, a fella may just have to get busy with a die grinder on the stock header to remove the Texas sized lip going into the runners...

Best,

Phil

WOW...bummer for such a nice product . Weapon R really should have came here with the shorty header a year ago instead of newcelica.org, RIGHT when the GTS PPE race header was about to become distributed...

DON'T buy the DC sports header. It has been proven for years and years that their gains are too inconsistant. Dave appeared to have tuned gains back when he had it, which is the same story with the (uber cool JDM but expensive) TRD and Trial shorty headers you can get from KINWAY MOTORSPORTS - TRD Performance Parts and Accessories for Sport Motors due to their bigger primaries, but the stock ECU gains are enough to show that it's not worth throwing money into tuning versus other headers. The most recent discussion and dynos can be read here:

dc-sports vs. stock header *dyno and vid* - NewCelica.org Forum

Those same inconsistancies seem to be in that picture you posted as well. Cheap eBay header = FAIL.

I charge $155 to port the stock header - is there someone charging more? Do I need to increase my prices?

The stock primaries are a good deal larger than the necked down size of the flange which is one of the reasons that porting makes as much power on the stock header as it does.
