I've been pondering spending 34k on an Elise (after taxes) and often friends ask me WHY?!

WHY spend so much on a such a non-utilitarian object?

WHY waste all that money when you could buy a civic for 12k?

WHY an Elise when you could get a tricked out evo for 34k?

WHY?!

I am asking the forum readers WHY (in 5 words or less) that you bought a Lotus.
