Nice find. I just bought a bone stock '06 for $29k with similar mileage.

The turbo. It would never pass our smog inspection. The visual component would be enough to fail it with the turbo before they even ran it to sniff the exhaust. Welcome to the paradise.

I know, but those connections and avenues come and go and may or may not always work. After initial inspection to bring the car in, in this state, the car is also smogged every two years after it is ten years old... or 2016, so if the car is to be kept, you better hope your connections and their shop is around to keep it up.

I know that car. I've been taken for a drive in it to compare it to my turbo setup. It hits hard down low for a turbo and pulls like an insane monster. The workmanship is great and it's been extremely well taken care of. You'll be very happy with it.

I did talk with the owner and he seemed knowledgable. I was concerned because I once owned the very first FF 275 kit with the piggyback and it was nothing but problems. That car was a monster as well ... while it was in tune. This car has a large intercooler, water/methane injection, a stand along system, and a boost controller ... with two main settings (low setting put down 281hp at the wheels with 7psi)

I'll keep my fingers crossed that I am not buying a problem car.

I know that car too. The owner let me take it for a spin to compare against my 08 sc and man that thing pulls! I would suspect that chances of issues are greater with any car that has been modded like that. That being said if I were in the market I would have snatched that car up in a heartbeat.

Not to mention that starting 2013, certain cars that fall under a certain category will need to be smogged at specific stations. They're transitioning from "Gold Shield" stations to the "Star Program." Being required to smog at test only stations is nothing new, but they will begin implementing on-site video surveillance that will be apart of these new certified stations.

Although it's highly unlikely the Elige will fall into this category (mostly older cars they want off the road), just shows how stringent CA can be on car enthusiasts.

Not a fan of deathing with anyone :-)...but do you mean the guy who owned the car and built it or do you mean Global Car Marketing? I know nothing about Global Car marketing, but I know the guy who owned it and he's a local business owner and a good guy.
