Last Summer I kept the speedo pegged at 160 mph for a few minutes, when I finally let off the brake it took about 3 seconds for the speedo to register. My guess is I was doing closer to 150 based on how quickly my buddy passed me in his Exige. With the FF type splitter the faster you go the more glued the front end feels... The rear end felt a bit light in the turns so a wing would be beneficial. In the straights it felt perfectly safe.
I second the need for a splitter on the Elise at 120mph+ speeds--it feels "floaty" without. |
