Facelifted S3 Elise Released

It looks like a baby Exige now, and it appears that the shifter has finally been fixed.

reverse lights are too far from the taillight. Looks weird

Hmmm... I guess it's in the eye of the beholder... I kind of like it!

I'm really liking the exposed shifter with the frame of a console (looks like the best of both worlds to me).

that shifter is pretty. I imagine the Shifter and console would not be cheap

I think the rear looks a little frumpy... Interior looks good and the front I could get used to. $.02

Those seats, console and dash look great. The exterior I'm not really into.

Though I'm a bit confused by the thread title, ie, wasn't this released in 2010? link: http://www.hazelnet.org/brochures/2011_Lotus_Elise4.pdf

The S3 was released in 2010. This is a mid-cycle refresh of that design.

I'm wondering if I could retrofit that shifter into my S2.

I don't see why not? It's the same engine. The truth is you might not want to pay for it though..

Actually the 2ZZ was phased out in 2011ish. The S3 cars are running 2ZR engines (notice the 7k RPM redline).

Is the linkage really that different? It's still horizontally opposed 1.8L. I would assume it couples in a similar manner. It might require custom cross gate and shift cables, due to length differences.
Has anyone looked up the price of these?

I doubt the parts list is updated yet. You're right though, with custom cables it should work as long as the shifter assembly will bolt into the S2 tub.

THE 250 GT has been out for awhile. I think someone was looking up parts for that.
