Red 2 Trailer

So I'm watching the Red 2 trailer today and noticed a particularly bad ass blue car halfway through it...

Based on the thread title, I was expecting something about hauling cars, and I was ready to see a bad ass car in the middle of some flatbed.

When you see the car close at 0:49, you can see the bullet holes.

Who doesn't love bullet holes in their Lotus? Adds street cred.

My Fiancee went and saw the movie... As soon as she got out of the theatre she was blowing up my phone for having recognized a "blue lotus with leds"..... HAHA Beautiful car.

We got free screening passes for it through gofobo.com (if you like to see free movies before they come out...sign up) Decent action flick but I wanted more from the lotus chase, a landrover was chasing it and keeping up but hey it's the movies. Gotta keep the villains close.

Just saw the movie which I thought every bit as good as Red. The product placement was very good and the Lotus got plenty of screen time.

Interesting tidbit of trivia:

When the Lotus Esprit starred in The Spy Who Loved Me the Hollywood stunt driver couldn't get it to do what they director wanted them to do. But when the director saw Lotus Development Driver Roger Becker drive it up a hill to the set he saw what a proper driver could do with a Lotus and Roger became the stunt driver for the movie.

Fast Forward 36 years and the producers go to Lotus for a Red2 car. Lotus lends an Exige S (at no cost to Lotus!) but specifies that Lotus Development Driver Matt Becker (Roger's son) do all the driving! Look for him in the credits.

Fun Movie

Saw Red2 - lots of fun - witty banter, good chemistry, lots of action, great product placement for Lotus - heck - the two cool cars in the movie where a Porsche and a Lotus - good for Lotus.

Lotus needs to put a V8 into an Evora and get Lotus back into a Bond movie -
If they do this and begin to compete in the United Sports Car series I am convinced they will sell more cars -

Just my .02 cents worth.

I saw this movie two weeks ago.

I loved the Exige footage. The Exige was on-screen for quite a while and the chase scenes were good. It caught me by surrprise as I was not aware that a Lotus car would be in the movie.

I didn't really care for the movie though.
