Craigslist SCAMMER BEWARE!!
Just want to alert you all on a craigslist scam.
2008 Lotus Exige S - MAKE OFFERS ! The seller is using the pictures and information from my posts and ads and obviously posting a lowball price. I'll try to alert craigslist as well. |

I was on my mobile phone earlier so I didn't read the entire ad.
The VIN # is different, obviously not an S240. The pictures are of an S240, particularly the S240 that I just sold and used to own. The mods listed are the exact same ones that I had. The seller basically just copy and pasted my ad and used my pictures, At the very least, this this a blatant misrepresentation of the car being sold, or not being sold. I still believe it's a scam. This is an '08 Elise possibly SC but because it's late in the day, I can't get more information until tomorrow. A simple call to the guy should clear things up.

Another tip pertaining to all cars: From 2001 and newer, the 8th to last digit of a VIN indicates the year of the car so if it's a 1 then it's a 2001 model year, 2 it's a 2002 model year etc. Before 2001, the 8th to last digit still indicated model year but it was a letter that indicated this and if you saw Y, it was consider a 2000 model. Doesn't the 4th digit indicate if it's an S240? (e.g. SCCWC = S240).
