Does anyone know this Esprit?

I'm in the market for an Esprit and have found this one currently for sale in the Kansas City area. Two things about its reported history seem a bit suspicious to me ---

1) The claim that was imported through Panama (does this make sense?)
2) The mileage is excessively low (for a non-dealer owned car) --- I'm concerned about any car that has been "sitting" most of its life.

If anyone has any knowledge of this particular car and its history, I would be grateful to hear it. Thanks.
