DOT date code
I know that the last 4 digits of the DOT number printed on the sidewall of each tire is the date of manufacture (week # followed by the year). Two of my Yoko 048s have this. Two of them have just 4 letters/digits following DOT and then there is a series of vertical lines that look like a bar code where there should be more numbers.
So what appears on two of the tires is: DOT XXXX XXX1234. This is what I thought was on every tire. The other two tires have: DOT XXXX [vertical lines]. Can anyone explain this? |

On my tires, the date code (2 digit week; 2 digit year) is embossed on only one side of the sidewall. Try looking at the other side of your tires.
