Exactly. Who in their right mind would want an Elise?

They are such different cars that the choice is simply which one best suits Ching's taste.To make a decision about two so dissimilar cars, Ching certainly has to drive the NSX to see if it really suits. The NSX has been complimented and maligned both for the Honda Accord-like driving experience. Every other exotic on the planet has its own unique character. The most that can be said of the NSX's character is "inoffensive." ![]() Drive it, buy what you like. ![]()

If you're looking for a daily driver, probably the NSX would make more sense;
if you're looking for a toy, and / or track car, probably the Elise makes more sense- IMO

Do you seriously need to ask that question here? (read w/ sarcasm)
1. There are plenty of posts on this topic already 2. Most of us do not own both cars so I bet you can guess which we liked better ![]() 3. Are you going to post about the great barn find next?!?

I think the elise as being shorter overall in length makes it more handy as a daily becuase you can park it in tighter spots... better mileage to correct? i suppose this sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard to some, but that's how i see it.
Totally independant of reality here like if i were just someone off the street who didn't know about cars... i think a modified NSX for track use "sounds" more normal... an NSX for daily use seems a little more like someone up upgraded from a civic with a big wing on it... again, i'm not saying it's my view, but i think it's what the average joe would think sounds reasonably likely... and buying cars based on what other people think isn't always the wisest choice to make you happy, but i guess you did ask... my vote, elise for everything! (and a nice set of earplugs) PS. megatrons question gets to the root of what you need to provide if you want more than our fluffy answers. |

If you are going for looks, Lotus.
If you are going for handling, Lotus. If your going for speed, Porsche, or add forced induction to Lotus. If you are going for comfort, buy a motorhome. I just got done telling a friend I would by 2 Elises instead of one NSX for the same cost. I don't understand what makes the car so special for the price.
