I’m looking for some expert advice on wheel size and offsets for my 07 Exige S. I’m looking to change the wheel/tire setup to 235/40-17 front and 275/35-18 rear. I will use the Yokahama AO48’s or Toyo R888’s. What offset would I need to use this setup. I had a set of Volk Ce28N’s on my S2000 and I want to get a set to go on the Exige.

If you want to make your car look mean - then the sizes you are requesting will definitely do the trick! |

Shinoo,
I have a 07 Exige S with the LSS rims 16/17 (f/r)... I just want a wider contact patch... I like the look of the rims, but I want something a little more aggressive... I drive the car spirited and will occasionally track it... I have a set of Volk's CE28N's from my S2000, but they will not fit the Lotus (I'm selling them)... I'm looking at that style as well... Let me know what you think... Thanks William |

Sticking with stock sized tires is a better performance choice unless your car makes massive power. You will have plenty of stick with stock sized R-compounds. We've had plenty of clients who have tried wider tires and returned to stock sizes - especially the fronts. ![]() We have one set of Denag wheels in stock. Since they are .5" wider than stock, you will spread out the sidewalls more and effectively get a wider contact patch. They are fully forged and perfect fitment - they will also allow for a big brake upgrade like our AP or 308BBK if you decide you need more brakes in the future. Many of us had other sportscar before coming to Lotus and bring our preconceived ideas of what the wheel/tire combo should be. Plus 1 is one of those common 'upgrades'. The Lotus turns that convention on its head..... ![]() Give me a call to discuss (951)296-6762 |
