A few reasons my wife is great

Mother of my 5 children (4 girls and 1 won't know until comes out next week?) and my best friend and all that.

ALSO:

She said "You should buy a Lotus."

She said "I'd prefer the Elise so we can take off the top, but get whatever you want. Remember you could always get another one later, too, like the Exige S."

She said "Your car looks beautiful but needs some things. Maybe you should buy some Lotus Driving Lights so you can see better at night" -- just ordered from FVMC today

She said "Your exhaust could be a little louder for safety reasons. If they can't see you, maybe they should hear you. What louder exhausts do they make? You should get one, just don't scare the children."

She said "I don't want to drive it, just ride in it with you."

She said "I don't mind that you are spending so much time with your new girlfriend Elise-- as long as it sleeps in the garage where it belongs."

She said "Why do you keep asking me if it's ok to buy something for the car? Just get what you need and if you don't need it get it anyway."

Man am I lucky or what?

I was just gonna ask that, too! For our brothers and sisters who have already been through one marriage and think the right person isn't out there, she (or he) is...but you'd better start looking, because Kestrel, RoadDad and I have already reduced the potential pool by three

BTW, I loved "mother of my five children...best friend and all that."

My wife said that if it comes down to keeping the Lotus or feeding our future child, the child would go hungry

Sounds fishy, I think she has her eyes set on something really big and sparkly in return.

Two differences:

1) I only have three kids (boy, girl, boy)

2) She said, "I want to drive it, maybe I'll let you ride in it with me..."

Oh well, she's still perfect though.

Of course, because of #2, she'll eventually want one of her own.

Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS on kid #5! Three is enough for me! How do you find time to drive at all (or anything for that matter)?

I have a slightly different experience. My (ex's) wanted me to buy whatever I wanted because they knew I have expensive taste and they would get it in the end.

Not wishful thinking. True as can be . I'm thinking either 1. she's getting older and realizes I have never spent frivolously or 2. it's the pregnancy hormones and I'd better act quickly.

Tom
That was in case she ever reads this thread. She'll probably stop reading right about 'best friend.'

Last November 9th, I woke up not even thinking about having/buying a Lotus but on the way to the Land Rover dealership to look at a new car for my wife, she said "you really don't need a back seat like you have in your M3, why don't you get a 2 seater". When she said that, we were a block away from the Lotus dealership. 15 minutes later I bought an Exige and she still has the same car.

If I ever buy a wife, I hope she is just like yours.
