Forza 3 - Lotus Racing Team

I'd like to start a quasi legit group of drivers to drive the Lotus line of cars together. Finding people to drive with that aren't always trying to run you off the road is stupidly difficult.

Eventually I'd really like to do some GT races with the Lotus cars all kitted out in the goodies. That picture of the Evora GT has me yearning for an Evora race.

My gamer tag is thomhend. If you want to join just send me a message and mention Lotus Talk.

I'm not a pro racer. I've got about 200 (worthless) hours on FM2 with low assists. Now that I have FM3 I'm trying to ween myself off assists .

I look forward to driving with you guys.

Edit: I just put up a website for the "team."

Perfection Racing Team – Forza 3

I was a little disappointed in the Lotus selection in the free play mode...

Awshum!

Just an FYI. If we ever manage to get some "serious" races going the assists will either be turned way down or off completely so it's a good idea to practice without them. Plus it's more fun .

That's fine, we can do manual transmissions if you want lol I have contributed many hours of my life to Forza and Gran Turismo. I should be fine. I have the wheel if anyone is looking for one. I don't like it.

I'll definetely join in!! I'd love to get some serious races going. I don't use any assists exept ABS. Have a wheel/chair setup. I'll send a message later tonight. My gamertag is Mach428.

What chair do you have? I want one and don't want to spend a fortune on it.

I have the Playseats 72000. It runs about $350 with shipping. It works well with the Microsoft wheel and the G25.

Im in!

I have spent a good percentage of my late night life in forza 2 and just getting started on 3. Need to find more time!!

What assists do you leave on? Honestly I have trouble without ABS and TC(on the higher horse cars) using a controller... the rest I can leave off.

my gamertag is Fastestman

I'm practicing with absolutely no assists on besides the paddle shifters. That doesn't mean we have to race as such. I expect ABS and MAYBE braking line to be open for use.

When practicing you can use whatever cheat, I mean assist, you want.

Boy I am really looking forward to this.

ahhhh ya i should be fine with only abs and i guess with practice without it.

Just need to play more.

Are all of you guys on wheels? I guess I need to get one. With the controller I find it hard to modulate brake pressure

I'm on a wheel and haven't figured out hard braking without locking them up. Also downshifting is proving to be a challenge without locking the rear. Plenty of challenges waiting to be crushed.

It's a steep learning curve but I'm having a blast at it. I think it's totally worth it.

Well, I figure most cars now have ABS anyway so I don't feel bad using it. I always play with manual trans and in car view.

I don't think most race cars have ABS. I've even heard it can screw you over on a rough track. I could be wrong though.

Count me in as well...
Gamertag = Schumi Jr

Someone mentioned using "in car" view. Wondering how many others use "in car" view? I've always used behind-the-car, but may try to start using in car.
