My Californian S1 Elise VTEC has "ELISE TR" on it.

Two meanings, its an Integra Type R (ITR) drivetrain, also the head is red, so its a TestaRossa, like the Ferrari TR's. Anyway most of the good Elise derivatives had already gone.

If Massachusetts were not so strict about vanity plates (6 characters max, must start with two letters, can't go letters-numbers-letters), I would get:
35173

Well I enjoy reading vanity plates, though I have never been one to want one- Why make it easier for someone to remember your plates?
Really Osipher, it must have been some other Lotus Elise

Anyhow...

L8 BRKR
NXT APEX
MIS TRES

This is one I thought of for my WRX wagon:

WAYGON (E)

certainly possible.
i liked two things about the all-number idea:
1. not at all obvious, and doesn't even look like a vanity plate.
2. pretty much exactly correct when rotated 180, rather than having to reverse single letters or anything..

your suggestion is something to think about though...

Tim,
We think too much alike!

I too have a vanity plate waiting at the DMV for my car to arrive.

To see what your plate would look like...

I have one waiting for me too.

Thought about 111 KART

Then I liked COMP CAR but decided maybe it was a little "in your face" for a car like this to boast it is your company car. Like a license plate that said PAID 4.

Since it was a company car, I decided it should be company related. CHASECAM is too long. Shortened versions just did not work. Since the Elise will travel with cameras on it at all times, always recording I settled with ON VIDEO.

the 2 best plates I've seen in California have been on Rolls Royces:

On an old 50's classic: SORDARF
On an 80's monstrosity: WTHQPNS

I'm thinking:

APEXL8R
CRVCHSR - my wife says she thinks that's cute and then smacks me.
TYPE 25 - yellow stripes required.
FED111R - I usually don't go for this kind of labeling.
BLKWTCH - but I'm afraid it reads as black witch.

Mine just came in "ELESE" for MA. The correct spelling was already reserved.

For what it's worth, to go along with my ELISE plate, my '72 Elan has had this one for the last 11 years (and I used to have "ELAN S4" when I lived in California - I seem to have a pattern):
