I've had mine painted. I had almost finished re-installing them but had to go away on a business trip. Will try to post some pics when I get back later this week

I would like to paint mine. Bling bling, I know, but I do think it looks good. I'm nervous about removing calipers, pads, etc. Lots of help on this board, but still....

You don't see the point? bling bling, man-get with it.

Actually it stems from the same desire to wash our cars. We just want them looking their best. If I'm gonna go in and change the pads, I might as well pretty up the calipers at the same time. I have BRP-what should my caliper color be? hmmm

I am thinking of painting my calipers red or yellow-

what colors is everyone else thinking of?
What you do you think would look best with storm/black?

ST-that's neutral. You can use any color and it'll look nice. I'd go with blue.

For CO I'd use blue as well. What about BRP? I'm thinking silver..

I wanted to powder coat. So it would be a bit of money. I'll do it when I have money to powder coat my wheels too.

wouldn't all the rubber have to come out to powder coat them? I am not sure about the temp. powder coating uses, and if its more than a caliper would usually see?. that would be expensive to re-build each caliper

Yes, the calipers would have to be disassembled to powder coat. Nothing I havent done before. When I take the calipers off I'll see if the seals can be easily removed or if they will have to be replaced if I remove them.

I just picked up the duplicolor caliper paint and plan on doing it sunday. It says in the instructions that you need not remove the calipers just tape off. Does anyone have any tips or any input on duplicolor?

The red looks very close to ardent. I will take pics when finished.

Does the caliper paint really hold? I've seen people paint calipers that didnt last, which is why I wanted to go the powder coat route.

At Pep Boys you can buy paint specific to painting calipers. It says right on it: "Caliper Paint". Should hold up. There's a lot of paint made for engine parts that should be good, too.
