How did you do such a nice clean job on the silver highlights on both the engine cover and front calipers? Is it a very steady, patient hand, or is there a simpler secret? It looks really sharp and I'd love to do the same on mine in red.

Will be painting mine yellow with the brush-on kit when it warms up. Will probably paint the Lotus relief on the front dark green. Storm Titanium car. I've painted the calipers on the NSX and Accord with regular high heat paint. Had some slight chipping on the Accord but otherwise has worn well. Powder-coating dosn't seem to be worth the $ and trouble unless you spend alot of time on the track (higher temps) or have a dedicated show car. Just painted the engine covers last weekend with a matte finish red and it looks great
(get the 1200 degree header paint if you want a matte finish).

Yeah, Chris, I love the color combo and the black wheels to boot. I'm still leaning towards going with silver on my BRP, perhaps with LOTUS highlighted in dark green. Anyone have any thoughts on what colors would look good on the calipers with BRP?

I'd vote for gold with BRP.

I had a professional pinstriper come out and do it for me. I've tried doing it myself before, and only yielded mediocre results. It was worth the $100 to get the guy out and do a nice job.

A silver paint pen yields pretty solid results. I'll post a pic of mine this weekend, done by hand.

I have detailed instructions on the disassemblyof the rear calipers if any one needs them. The rears are actually the same Brembo's as used on early Vipers.

Where were you 4 weeks ago when I needed instructions in a big way I ended up having to learn on the fly and got into a few problems along the way. Thankfully everything is okay now.

I just finished using the G2 caliper paint (red) on my racing green Elise. The kit is easy to use, but I must say it looked HORRIBLE at first. Then, as it dried, it "filled in" and became smooth and even. I'll post pics soon.

Biobaggie, I like the way the Lotus writing on your front calipers is silver. Is that silver paint over the blue, or did you sand the paint off the raised letters?

Jerry,

Here are some pics. I must admit, after painting the calipers last night, I regretted it at first. The paint is REALLY glossy, and they just seemed too loud. But then this morning, I took my car out in the sun, and against the shiny metallic paint and silver wheels, the calipers weren't too blingy (is that a word?). The claipers are so damn small, and I also think the gloss will flatten out a bit. It's a cheap, fun, useless mod; go for it!
