Help! Found in Woods, What is it?!?!

I was out and about and came across this chassis, I did of course drag it home because that is a big part of my disease, I am powerless to fight these urges.

The fella I got it from said It was once upon a time a Lotus, I'd guess that is likely. I am unable to find any numbers stamped anywhere, nor have I managed to identify what it was when born.
I am hoping some folks here can help me out.

Thank you,

Matt Picaro

Garage
You could hang it in your garage, that's what I did with an damaged Elan chassis that someone gave me. Makes a good decoration.
