It is a photochop & he is a troll, he is "back from vacation" and does not own even a cheap digital camera to snap some picts ? Yet he has the money to have LCDs installed in his seat rears? Again how about a nice clear & brightly lit day time shot, top off the car, showing how the LCDs are held in place into the very thin head rests of an 2005 and the head unit. Also please have video playing in the LCDs so we know you did not just velcro 2 old broken monitors to the seats........ Check out the angle or lack of angle on the top of the LCD in relation to the seat and car window edges, also check out the wonderful reflection to the left that is in the wrong place way too far back ?

I just noticed this thread.
Why would you do this to an Elise? I know this has been beat to death? Seriously I'm not trying to be an a$$ or flame you? I honestly thought Elise/Exige owners' are rare kind who value performance and light weight vs posing. I'm very surprised to see this in an Elise. I guess that's what happens when these cars depreciate like a rock and younger and younger people can afford them. |

Well, it's good to know we're not getting taken... mopho would probably be the best person to judge... he's the resident photo expert. The first two pics look like they were taken from a tripod, and can be overlaid. If you flip between them, you'll see that the first had a flood light shining in from the right, which decreased the glow of the monitors. The second is a darker pic, and the monitors have more glow. That's what I'd expect from a real photo. A photoshop would have the same glow. The only thing that bugs me is that in pic #2, some of the reflections from pic #1 have vanished. But again, if he was photoshopping, why wouldn't they all be the same?

Simple photoshop job - you can tell from the very first photo.
If the displays were real, the tops and bottoms of them would be parallel to the top and bottom of the window/roof/rear deck (parallel to the green line in the photo below). Instead they are "horizontal" - not at the proper angle/perspective when looking at from a rear quarter view. And this is from the first time I looked at the photos in question.

MikeMo - it appears that Union Beach, NJ is near Perth Amboy. There are plenty of Lotus guys in NJ. All you have to do is meet up with one of us and we can verify it.
