if he wanted to put flashing neons under it and put a park bench as a spoiler ![]() , its all cool, as long as the owner's happy i dont mind a bit of bling myself (perhas a set of 17/18's etc) but its really not in keeping wtih the style of the cars. |

Not surprising that I'm his only supporter. When I was in college, I bought an old Cadillac limo for $500. I took an acetylene torch to it and removed the roof and painted the thing pink panther fuschia.
I would invite as many friends (girls and guys) as could fit in it to go to the outdoor movie on Saturday nights. Good fun! If you are wondering how I would consider this fun (note my signature), without the structural support of the roof, I knew the limo might crack in half over any bump in the road. I warned all passengers about the potential danger, which only made for a more exciting ride. ![]()

Dude, bad move, people will be laughing at you on the road. Not to mention this will probably draw more negative attention.
I don't get it since it has NO functionality other than making the car perform worse

If he does have kids, they're probably running along behind the car, trying to watch "Finding Nemo." "Turn it up, daddy! We can't hear it over the exhaust!"
Now I have to return to page two to continue reading ![]() Maybe if you play "The Fast and the Furious," you'll go faster... ![]() Well, now you know what we think. ![]() Tom |

1. there are cars that you modify with tvs, rims, systems, tinted tails, duals, tints and so on...
2. then there's cars that you take things off them to make them light..so they handle better and goes faster. Your car falls onto the second category. For you to try and make it into a first category car makes you seem foolish ahd idiotic. However, to each their own. The car looks nice (i'm not gonna lie) but you defeated the purpose of the car. I have an M6, sti, and a turbo'd corolla. Everyone laughed at me when i said i was going to turbo my corolla but i didnt care its what I wanted to do. So i applaud you for doing what YOU wanted to do to your car. My turbo'd corolla is show car ready too ![]() |

What a guy does with his car is his business. I like it - I wouldn't do it - but if it works for you fine. Excess is entertaining. Displays in headrests with NO backseat - comeon- gotta love that!! Funny. If he says it gets him more trim, I actually believe him. Seen how dumb 20-something women are anymore?

...clearly you did this because it appeals to you, mikemo, i won't add to the cacaphony of mockery, but i don't understand the appeal...
...could you explain the point of seatback screens in your two-seat car to me?..honestly, i'm not teasing, i just don't get it - is it sort of an ironic humor thing?.. |

But that's not important. The important part is the message you're intending to deliver, which is: "I have SO much more money than you that I can and will do REDICULOUS things with it!" The key is the word "REDICULOUS" (spelled with an "e"). Yes, people living the "bling" lifestyle believe that "REDICULOUS" is a good thing. It's ostentatiousness taken to the extreme. In this culture, moronic things are done with money simply to make the statement that one has money. Most often by people who have none. And the more moronic, useless, and "rediculous," the better. The focus is on getting attention at any expense - even if it's negative attention. It is self-centered, egregious spending, and is representative only of negative human traits. Oh, and what's worse, the people who do this $hit know that there is no redeeming quality to wasting money like this, but they do it anyway, because they need to validate their worth by telling other people "I have more than you." The truly sad part? As evidenced by the last photo, it works! ![]() |

Many people complain that the majority of Ferrari/Prosche/Lambo owners never really track their cars but just have them as status symbols... this is true. What it means is that Ferrari/Prosche/Lambo sell lots more cars therefore make lots more profit therefore can make more cars!!! Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you see it) the Elise is really good at one thing and as such has a much more limited market - therefore fewer sales - therefore harder to make a profit and more cars we want to buy ![]() So I am all for owners who want to buy an Elise and not necessarily track it!!! Mikemo - do your own thing and enjoy it! ![]() |
