In this culture, moronic things are done with money simply to make the statement that one has money. Most often by people who have none. And the more moronic, useless, and "rediculous," the better. The focus is on getting attention at any expense - even if it's negative attention.

It is self-centered, egregious spending, and is representative only of negative human traits. Oh, and what's worse, the people who do this $hit know that there is no redeeming quality to wasting money like this, but they do it anyway, because they need to validate their worth by telling other people "I have more than you."

The truly sad part? As evidenced by the last photo, it works!

Personally, I think you are showing how much of an idiot "YOU" are. Who are you to put down any culture. Although I wouldnt have chose to put the tvs in my lotus, I am not going to dog him for doing it. Its true that I did laugh at it but thats because it obviously has no function since you cant really watch it. The world moves forward because of different people and cultures with different tastes. Just because the area you are from probably wouldnt do this, you decided to down his whole community because they find it appealing. That just shows that you yourself are stupid and insecure in your own ways. Its one things to say you dont like it and it defeats the purpose of the car, but its another to take it where you did. Even though I wouldnt do these things in a Lotus, I would do them in a car where they would be more functional. Also, he like it himself and more than likely its appealing to the majority where he lives. So he really shouldnt care what a bunch of strangers have to say about it.

My biggest peeve in life... people who are too stupid to comprehend you, so they call you stupid because they misinterpret your higher understanding of existence. Didn't these people learn in third grade that they should fight with their fists instead of their brains?



Allow me to spell it out for you... I wasn't "dogging" his community or his style, I was dogging the rather obvious ostentation. Ostentation is not a style. It is pure show and exaggeration beyond reason for the sole purpose of making others feel smaller, and consequently making oneself feel more important. It is pretense at its most vile level.

I don't care if it's monitors on the back of your headrests on a 2-seater or $10,000 magnesium wheels for a car that you don't race. They're different subcultures, but both ostentatious.
