Is this the beginning of the END??

Do we have to scrap our Lotus cars and forced to drive BUICKS??

Or even worse....SMART CARS!!!!

The saga continues.......

Uggh - look at the threads when this dealership first came online. Isn't this the one that a knucklehead at Lotus gave them the rights and stole it from South Bay?

Update as of 8:46 A.M. on Friday, September 5.

My car is being worked on at Lotus Beverly Hills right now.

Understand that the building was "red-tagged" meaning that some work has to be done on it. Everything being moved to Lotus of Calabassas for now. Heard this from accurate source.
Maybe there is more to this story that Randy knows and I don't.

I will post if and when I hear more.

9:30 A.M.

Word from the shop - They are definitely moving to Calabassas as their building needs work.

No word on who stays but I hope they all do.

Allen is absolutely excellent as they all are.

If your car is there or you need to get ahold of the service guys there, PM me - I have direct phone numbers for the service guys.

Wasn't Beverly Hills the reason of South Bay's demise? I guess there isn't much chance of a comeback, but somewhat somewhat silly that Lotus thought the area deserved 4 Lotus dealers, yet now only 2 stand...

It gets a bit complicated, but a lot of things happened due to some relationships with the previous head of LCU. When Arnie stepped back in, those old agreements (marketing and dealerships) were left for him to deal with and steer the LCU ship back onto course.

I hope it's being steered correctly. LA is one of their biggest markets; not having a dealership within a half hour drive to perform service for such a finicky car looks a lot less attractive now.

Half hour drive????

Most of us should be lucky enough to be within an hour's drive!

south bay, hrm, austin, now LBH possibly?

I guess having 3 smaller bay area dealerships is better than having one big one

Don't forget Qais still has his own shop down near Manhattan Beach at 405 & Roscecrans, just can't do warranty work if you need it.
