111S topgear video link

HI All,
Site's been listed before, but for all you new guys contemplating a 111S, here's a comparatively recent vid from the English tv show top gear.

On the link, go to downloads (several good vids here) the S2 top gear vid is a big file but worth seeing. The chief chassis engineer with Lotus Gavan Kershaw shows how it's done.
A great vid!!

TopGear review of the S2 111s Elise

In the vid they show chief Lotus Chassis engineer showing how to drive an Elise on the hethel track. Interesting times in spite of a wet track.

58megs. Please feel free to right mouse button, saveas... instead of playing it from the server over and over. And you know you want to.

MOV file. Again, 58 megs.

Does anyone have the lotus exige cup on video?

I remember seeing pictures of it! It was a pic of many exiges racing green, blue, silver...

That would be interesting to see on video!

Some more footage from the author of in and out!

Not sure if I posted this to the list or not but will be taking this file down in a week or so, so if anyone wants to grab it and host it elsewhere they are welcome.

The clip shows us climbing the Stelvio Pass this year and shows lots of Elise climbing the pass.
It has also been the centre of a great debate on "dangerous driving" but I think I have now been found not guilty as everyone who is passed in the film agreed that they let me pass.
Noble M12GTO also shown.

HI Tony,
I'd love to do Stelvio pass. Looks like you guys have a great time with it. The Italian roads are incredible! Did the motogiro vintage motorcycle race through the Dolomites this past July!

You do of course know that it was an accident which fortunately went well and not some excellent stunt driving :-D

Thanks Armitage. I have been wondering that actually.

Because I was thinking if that was intentional, I am astounded at the confidence and skill. Luck sounds better to me.

I watched that clip about 50 times trying to figure that out. If he wasn't intending to go through that gate backwarks where was he trying to go? When he turned in and realized it wasn't going to go as intended he went into damage control and pulled out a big save. I'm saying 70/30 luck to skill ratio.

Interesting on the Top Gear review, them talking about the car having understeer and being able to put larger front tires on the car in order to make it more neutral.

Think we'll actually be able to order those front tires?

I don't think this link is posted yet. So here try it out. It has some of the Top Gear Videos and others too. My favorite is the Best of British Video.

Has anyone else noticed that the download from pinkcore's server is hideously slow? I'm talking about 2.1 - 2.3 kb/sec! And that "Best of British" video is 340 MB!

Any helpful hints? I've tried to download during the morning, evening, 3:00 o'clock in the morning... all without any luck! (All times Pacific Standard Time.)
