Discovery <did> show hacked up older episodes. But as far as current episodes, they are not syndicated on any American channels. Unless you get BBC2, no dice

However, you can get the episodes on Bit Torrent. Final Gear has many of the recent shows and usually has the newest episode the Monday after the Sunday airing. I use Transmission to download the torrents on OSX, but there are plenty other clients for Windows as well as OSX. The episodes are usually encoded in the DIVX codec. I use VLC on both Mac and Windows and it is a excellent DIVX (as well as other formats) player.

Anyway, I came across this vid. Warden, were you a Titanium Silver Elise at Watkins with ARPCA? If you were, looks like we may have been with the same run group. Wanna see what your Elise looks like from another car's in car vid? Here's the link:

Palting - yep, that's me in the ST Elise in front of your C4S. Thanks for the video! I probably should have let you pass a bit sooner, huh - sorry about that. Sometimes the red mist sets in. I'm fairly certain once I get more familiar with the Elise that I'll be able to keep up or even pass you C4S - no offense here, and I'm not trying to brag, but the Elise definitely has more potential than I'm using right now.

Anyway, I think we've played cat and mouse at past ARPCA DE events - I had my silver boxster, although for some reason I thought you were in a 996TT - probably the wider fenders in the C4S. I had the boxster at it's absolute limits, and currently my lap times in the Elise are about the same, so I expect to ring out a few more seconds once I start to really push it. I'll keep an eye out for you at future ARPCA events. Did you ever pick up an Elise?

You were doing fine. You passed a good number of cars. And I liked looking at the Elise .

Almost got the Elise. I was looking for a track car. I had it ordered, had a deposit down, was on a waiting list. Then the 987S came out. Read the reviews, test drove them both again, and the 987S won out for me. Here's the old, old thread: http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/show...hlight=palting . No regrets, but the Elise is still attractive to me. Maybe I'll still get one, one of these days.

That looks like a Euro dash, so I doubt they are on here. If so, stop driving like such an a-hole.

That video reminds me of the videos from Pahrump.

The S1 (at least the ones in this video) seem to oversteer a lot! I remember hearing this was the case and Lotus dialed more neutral handling into the S2 beacause a lot of S1 drivers were spinning and wrecking them. The guy on those videos wants to get on that list.

Some street racing: (wait until the guys go into the store), some night-time elise racing after that.

Here's a track vid. Only a glimpse of the elise:

Laps at Beaverun Motorsports Complex

Some laps from a recent lapping day at Beaverun.

After a DE at Watkins Glen, I had commented that the brakes didn't feel as solid as on my Porsche (http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23539).

That's fixes now - I adjusted the brake pedal to minimize the gap between the pedal arm and upstop, and also swapped out the stock pads for Padgid RS-14 pads. The pads made a bigger difference - excellent brake feel now and very confidence inspiring. I also ordered SS brake lines, but haven't yet installed them - I'm not sure I need to anymore.

A few highlights from the video:

@ 1:00 - watch the chrysler crossfire srt8 understeer almost off the track in turn 10

@ ~3:00 - honked horn when gripping wheel too hard - anyone else have this problem? It certainly startled me.

@ 4:40 - in light rain, watch the '69 camero historic race car pull away, but then I reel him in. This car was very fast in a straight line, but as expected, not that great in the corners.

I played with a few Z06's (not caught on video) - they can easily take me on the straights, but not in the corners. It's amazing how much faster the elise is in the corners vs. any other car I've ever driven against. My best lap time was 1:09 - about 3 seconds faster than my best in the boxster.

Not sure if this is already posted somewhere or not.
