Can someone pm me the procedure too? I can seriously see this happening since I usually am pretty careless about my keys.

Eh. I've locked myself out of my cars 3 times in 3 years. I also have a habit of misplacing items . Luckily my most recent lockout, the gate guard from work had found a coat hanger lying around so I broke into my beater with it.

If you think about the trunk and its design for a while, you can figure it out how to get in. See it as a brain teaser :-)

Ha ha - I locked my keys in my trunk trying to get my registration and insurance out of my manual which I keep in the trunk. A cop had pulled me over. So after getting the ticket I had to leave the car with the cops and take a cab to my place to get the spare and then back to the car - about a $60 fare. I didn't have enough cash so put the fare on my credit card. Realized the next morning that I didn't get my card back from the cabby. Turned out he put $100 of gas on the card. I was also late for the soccer game I was trying to get to.

So... I wish I knew this trick at the time.

Somehow my key can no longer open the trunk, can someone please PM me the solution. I'll deal with the lock once I open it (I think there is also a thread on that).

Thanks in advance.
