Look what I just made exigevideos.com
So I LOVE watching online videos, and while I was parsing through YouTube trying to find ones that had audio, weren't SUPER low res and were actually cool it occurred to me that I was being real annoyed.
So since I'm out of work.... ...and since I like working on "graphics".... ......and since I wanted to learn some CSS stuff.... ............and since I love everything about Lotus.... I made this site. It's not totally done, but it has enough content and works well enough to post it up here. Exige Videos | NOTE that if you type in www.exigevideos.com it wont work...there are still some bugs somewhere that I'm working out but exigevideos.com DOES work, perfectly I hope! There is about 2 hours of stuff to watch on there now...I like the history of Colin Chapman the best. I've organized videos into categories that make sense to me, you can see the categories on the top navigation bar. Each category has subcategories. So you can click on "Documentaries" and see a list of ALL the Documentary vids, or you can click one of the sub categories for Chapman, Clark, Formula 1...etc....and see just those vids. Obviously some sub categories will currently have just one video! Everything is searchable as well, using the search bar at the top. Some points to make because I'm sure someone will be upset by this site. a) the videos aren't mine, they are freely available on the web, and if you wanted to waste time on YouTube trying to find them, you could. I'm just wrapping them up for us Lotus enthusiasts. b) there is no advertising on the site and I make -$20 or so a month on it for the hosting. repeat I MAKE NO MONEY ON OTHER PEOPLES VIDEOS.... c) it's really just a little side hobby to keep me in front of the computer and photoshop So take a look, I recommend setting up the RSS feed so you can get hit up when I post a new video or whatever. I like it, I think it's neat, let me know what you guys think, get on there and lets talk about some lotus VIDS!!! p.s. I'm working on setting up a plugin what will let you search and watch all this stuff via a nice custom interface on your smartphone (Iphone/Android/etc..) so you can watch lotus videos in the airport or when your stuck waiting on your girlfriend in the dressing room at the kick ass "THE GAP" or wherever it is they drag us men these days. |

oh yeah, it's called exigevideos because I own an exige...and let me tell you that almost anything associate to "lotus" that isn't our beloved brand..is pornography...if anyone can think of a better URL...i'm all ears...URLs are CHEAP!@

yeah, if you put "WWW." it doesn't work, i have to get the www URL to point to the correct location. just do exigevideos.com in your browser and you'll get there.
Good point on the load times, I have been assuming they are on my crappy internet....anyone else having it load up annoyingly slow? It seems to work great ONCE loaded..hmm!! it takes me anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds on page refresh.... Like I said I'm an amateur at this.... |

ok fair enough, I just put up some kick ass Elise videos I found. So now I think i have all the bases covered for startup content. I personally love the history stuff the most so I tend to search for it more than road tests for standard cars and such.
ok, this is the last time I'll spam the forum about any updates to the site. But the'll continue as long as I have a computer and there are new vids to be found, so make sure you subscribe to the RSS feed so you can keep updated AND EDUCATED!!! Anyone heard of the vx220....I hadn't...till I saw the video!!! hahaha :-D |

 I found a spelling error though. "Weather or not you are watching" should be "whether or not you are watching".
