Lotus Elise CAD File

Anyone know where I can find a AutoCAD .dwg file of the Elise? Doesn't need to be very detailed - just enough so I can size a box around it and have the elise image in my drawing.

+1 That would be awesome to have, but i would think those belong to lotus and are copy written or some form of legal paper attched to them. saying that your not able to temper with them, the only way that anyone would have is if some one took the time to do one them self, which would take a long time but would be awesome to have one in soild works that be more bad a$s.

I collect blueprints/drawings of cars. I may have one at home, I will check. It would be 2D.

Too bad you cant get the actual Cad model, not just surfaces. The S2 Elise was designed/updated with Pro-E, so it exists somewhere within Lotus...

I have a surface model, but it originated in one of those show-n-tell packages (3DStudioMax, etc), and when I imported it into SolidWorks (or Pro/E, for that matter), I get a mess of individual surfaces. I've been working on cleaning it up, recreating the surfaces using imported edges but it's taking quite some time. Also, it's an original S2 version, so I need to make adjustments to the exhaust, fuel filler, and front panel covers (though that's a lower priority...).

Rob, PM me with your email and I can send a DXF.

You need this: AutoCAD Free Download and ACAD upgrade

I could probably fix that easily in Rhino3D...

Just use that utility that I linked to above. It's an AutoCad plugin from SolidWorks that lets any version of ACAD to open files created in any other version of ACAD. SolidWorks created and maintains it so that potential customers don't have to waste their software budgets on un-needed AutoCad upgrades and can spend it on SolidWorks instead .
