A Rolax? Is that a Taiwanese version of a Rolex? I think I had a chance to buy a Rolax in Tijuanna.

It may be a rubber strap which is very popular these days even in watches costing thousands.

Looks pretty nice. 3 bills doesn't seem so bad. Is it battery powered though? ehh. I wear the first Seiko kinetic daily. Have so for 7 years. Great watch, but no longer looks $750 great. Most people wouldn't know it from a $80 piece. Wear a Brietling occassionally and a Coach once in a while made by Movado. Oh and once in a while I whip out the Folex from Chinatown in New York. But it looks pretty good, has the proper sweep, and has held up for 4 years of sporadic use. Just holding me over until I can secure an all stainless Sub. modified with blue bezel from the two tone, and a serti dial. Some day. I came close last year, but got the Elise instead. LOL.

I'm not too into the plastic band, but I'm sure i can find a substitute watch band, a brushed aluminum one would be sweet. I'll probably end up getting one, it looks pretty hot.

I am convinced this is just an attempt to prey upon the vunerablities of the Chrome Orange Mafia.

You will accessorize!!!!! Resistance is futile!

Come on guys... am I the only one here that wants to know how much it weighs????

It has to weigh less than my current watch or it is just a no go!

Hey, you know, maybe *that's* why they went with the plastic band, to reduce weight!!!

Hmm, since I'm not wearing a watch, buying a Lotus watch would actually slow me down... Bummer.

Nice watch, but who's watching a watch when you have the time on your
stereo face or cell phone, It might be a nice conversation piece,
....."wanna see the car that goes with the watch"

I carry a cell phone that tells the time (and sets itself automatically). I work in a place with computers and clocks everywhere. However, I wear my Baume & Mercier Capeland chronograph every day. I like the way a nice watch feels on my wrist. You can feel the mechanical bits inside working.

You got ripped off. My eBay special was only $0.01!

(and $10 S&H)

Damn!
That's it! I'm going to sulk for the rest of the day, be mean and grouchy to my co-workers, go home and kick the dogs, send nasty-grams to whomever, let the air out of the mailmans tires, and tell little kids that Santa is not real grumble, grumble, etc.

Does someone know if the Lotus Design watch Type 1 still is for sale somewhere? I'm looking for one.
