Noelle and Elise

I hope I don't get flak for this thread.

I have nothing to complain about my Lotus Elise...maybe because I rarely use it. It has only 4,500 miles after 3 1/2 years of service. I use a Volvo C30 for my daily commute.

Anyway 2 of my friends and I shot Noelle (with the Elise) in Beverly Hills last October. The pictures are in

Just like you...I like Noelle more than my Elise.

I really enjoyed shooting her.

Yup! It was!

I hate shooting with harsh lighting so I told the guys to schedule the shoot very early in the morning....Sunday....so there was not a lot of people yet.

But later...the crowds came....mostly tourists from France, Germany, and the Netherlands...I let some of them pose with my Lotus Elise....

Cheers!

Ahhhh!

Noelle is an aspiring actress. My friend Joey (a professional photographer) met her months ago ang he started shooting her. I saw the shots and I was impressed with her looks. I told Joey I wanted to shoot her so she got invited in one of our shoots and she happily accepted. I was excited that she accepted so I brought the Elise to complement her good looks.

Noelle is very sweet and nice. Not all of the models that we shot are like her. Some are....hmmm...I should not mention it. That's one of the main reasons I enjoyed shooting Noelle.

When it's the opposite...I still shoot the model but inside my head I want the shoot to be done asap.

Cheers!

What lens/base are you shooting with, and how much work was done in post?

Shots look great btw - I'm just curious

Also, you using strobes for fill, or reflectors (or am I blind and imagining things?)

I don't think you'll get much flak for posting pictures of good looking women.

It is Rodeo Drive early in the morning.

I don't want to shoot with very harsh lighting. I insisted on an early morning shoot.

Cheers!

I used my Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III with the Canon 85mm F1.2 II L lens. For some shots I used a Q39 (somebody held it for me) and for some shots it was just the 580EX II flash with our very own flash diffuser. This diffuser is better than Garry Fong's.

For post....I used DPP to adjust exposure (minimal only) on my RAW shots. I then created 16 bit TIFF files that were later processed by Lightroom 2. The processing done in Lightroom 2 was very minimal. I adjusted the fill a bit in some shots. Then I added my signature using LR2/Mogrify.

Thanks for the compliment!

Cheers!

Great!

I wrote that because I know this thread has really nothing to do with the Elise.

Cheers!

Well...a lot of the women now have tattoos....

I don't like it but that's the trend now. A lot of young women dress like prostitutes and a lot of them wear tattoos and body piercings (yuck!).

To me it doesn't look good on them at all. But I guess they like it...a lot.
I asked some of our models about their tattoos and guess what...they are proud of them.

We also shot Ashley...and she has no tattoo whatsoever...no body piercings either.

For that...I was hesitant at first...but then....

I warned Noelle....

I told her to be careful with my Elise or else...

I have to bring her home with me....

so I guess she was very careful....hehehe!

Cheers!
