Last year up in Lompoc, there was a big forest fire near Santa Barbara and a lot of the firefighters were staying at my hotel.

Those Can Ams are pretty interesting , seen a few around LA, but at $15k a bit pricey I think, 0 -60 is about 4.5 seconds, but I think I would rather have a Ducati .......

If you're using Windows XP, you can use their Image Resizer powertoy - very useful and free.

As my co-worker said as we roared into the parking lot:

as far as the Escort Cosworth, there used to be one way back when i lived in torrance, ca. it was a copper goldish color, 4wd turbo...way before the WRX and EVO got popular!!!
Let's do the timewarp again...

I always thought the quintessential AWD rally racer was the Audi Quattro from the early 80s.

The Elise is my "regular" car and the 340R the "Lotus".

Speaking of horses...

I would like to see a horse next to a Lotus. I bet on a full size horse the top of the car would hit somewhere between the quarter and stifle.

It would have been an interesting shot from the other side -- you probably would have seen the top of the Elise's windows under the truck.
