Awesome M Coupe.

I was on the fence for about a year between getting the Elise or a coupe. My wife thinks the coupe is ugly, but I love it. Just looks mean and nasty!

The Elise won out in the long run and my wife likes it so guess it was the "right" choice. Still, I would love to own one someday.

The M Coupe's are great cars but very different, they're soft and squishy, they love to be thrown around and have gobs of torque.

After test driving the Elise and getting back into my Coupe it felt like I was stepping into a big lumbering car - a huge contrast to the Elise and that's what sold me. That and the fact that I have gone around dozens of bends that would have left the Coupe on its roof in the ditch that the Elise just smiled at

I am sure that I will buy another one someday - they're just too good not to!

A little harsh don't you think? First of all, 'the guy' you hate is me, I'm female. Second, what is so wrong with what you have?

Seems like every time I park the Elise safely away from the crowds there is a giant road hog squeezed up next to it by the time I return. But I guess that is what I get for moving to Nashville.

the fellow in south dakota should be jumping for joy. Around here, a house that size wouldn't even have a garage, it'd be on 1/8 acre plot and they'd be asking $650k for it. Plus, there's cute girls in south dakota. If houses only cost as much as a gallardo i'd be in heaven.

Ewalberg! i am happy as heck i don't have to make payments on a house for 650K with no garage! my 2 bedroom vaulted ceiling 2 story with skylight is 4 years old and it sits on 3 acres 7 miles from down town Rapid. oh ya did i mention the 1200 square feet of heated garage?

all for under 150K

i truly have empathy for you califolk. ya you might have nice weather year round but here in SD i can afford to live and don't have the commute
OR traffic! i am literally 200 yards from flyfishing streams! when i'm at work!!
and it takes me 3 minutes to start up the side of a mountain for a CURVY 15mph road. this is what i felt like when i lived in Vegas after work

Just picking up my 05 SY Elise so I don't have any pics of it yet. I have to admit I was scaning the goods of everyone's garages in this thread. I noticed quite a few VW goodies. Yea someone even has a set of polished Fuchs off the car. Here's my summer project I just finished. It's about as heavy as the Elise and is a Vert too. Has a lot more CF on the interior.

Whoa dude you need to take a step back and look at the whole picture...

The average American just struggles to make any sort of car payment every month. Your Elise costs twice as much as most people make in a year!

It's amazing how the Elise makes so many cars look bloated and inelegant.

I have an S2000 currently (to be replaced by Elise in a few months ), and these pics make it look plain in comparison.

I can't wait to get my hands on an Elise!!!

That's funny.
I actually have an S54 BMW ///M Roadster, and my dream car for the last couple years (which I haven't bought yet) is the Lotus Elise.

I'm not quite sure the Carrera GT can be considered as a "regular" car :P

Hmmm is there something on the road now "smaller" then the elise, the car looks like even a mini can eat it in these pics.
