Police Car Builder Teams up With Lotus

I don't think aluminum slows bullets down much...

You'd be surprized... The British used to build a fiberglass tank that had armor equal to a regular steel tank - but it was significantly lighter.

Laminate aluminum and composites (or just composites) and you can get good armor protection...

It will make it hard for the cops trying to hide running traffic (That is a good thing!) There is a cop in my small suburb town that drives a brown Ford Escape with no rollers on top and very few stickers and another one that has a red mustang patrol car. They like to sit right near the road in a church parking lot. They always have someone pulled over as nobody thinks a brown Ford Escape or a red Mustang is a cop car.

That car needs a different front end so it can perform the pit maneuver after it is finished running down the people trying to flee. I suppose that might make it less pretty.
