Qwestion on Dulop Direzza Z1 Star spec

I just ordered a set of Direzza Z1 star specs on line with an appointment to have them put on. I got a call from the shop doing the installtion that the Front and rear tire were not matched for speed. I ordered the 205/50 16 for the front and the 2345/45/17 for the rear. They shop recommended the Bridgstone Potenza RE760 any thought or advice before I give my deposit to order the tires Thank You

There is a speed rating difference, the rears have a W rating (up to 168 mph) while the fronts are only a V rating (up to 149 mph), but it should be a nonissue. The V ratings for the fronts should be more than enough and I can't see how the rears having a higher rating would be problematic.

I have this exact setup. It is perfect. Your shop is smoking crack. Unless you intend to go 200 MPH, the difference is irrelevant.

Tire upsizing on stock (non-lss) rims

I don't think your car can even achieve the max speed ratings. I think I was the first to test this tire in those sizes and can report they work just fine for street and track. The fronts do rub a bit on the fender liners but not bad.

Possibly on the track. I have had these on for street use, and very spirited canyon driving, and after putting 1K miles on them, can report zero rubbing whatsoever. Mine is touring suspension, stock height. If you have a sport pack, your mileage may vary.
