RE-Amemiya tuned Lotus Europa with Mazda Rotary swap
ROTARY BUZZ: RE-AMEMIYA'S 20B LOTUS EUROPA - Speedhunters
So Tokyo Auto Salon just finished up this past month and Speedhunters ran their usual crazy coverage on it for a few weeks. One of the most interesting (of the sadly few) Lotus-related displays was a Lotus Europa at the RE-Amemiya booth. This shop is mostly known for their Mazda RX7 creations, but the owner is fond of the Lotus Europa and already built a Rotary swapped car before in the 80's ![]() But now he's turned his attention once again to the Europa, this time with a 20B. This might not be everyone's cup of tea, especially purists but it's an awesome modernization to a classic Lotus. The article goes into good detail about the depth of change to the car with modern brakes, tires, and a rev-happy engine. Enjoy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

No, it's not Italian

I usually don't like modified bodies on cars, but I think they did a fantastic job on this Europa. And with that Rotary I bet it is an absolute blast to drive.

My first thought was "another goobered up Europa, makes all the survivors more valuable". But this looks to be very well done. Must be a scream to drive or just marvel at.

This might be a silly question but how on earth is he getting outside air to the air intake? Is it just tucked behind a wall with no air vent going to it or am I missing something?
