ahh alright.i remember trying to get that to fit well on the scoops i had.it could have to do with the scoop layup being a bit different in thickness on your scoops verse the ones i had fitted them to.

Yep, that's probably it. And, it's easier to trim a little excess than to add material to the gaps...

Kevin from NCI is with the West cars at Road America... check out some of his fabrication. These cars are 200 HP and weigh about 800 lbs, just over 900 lbs with driver!

Here is a video of the West (from Road Atlanta): West WX10 - Road Atlanta on Vimeo

It was amazing to see 15 of them doing about 160 mph into turn 1, with raindrops starting to fall... those cars are pretty quick!

nice photos thomas.we where pretty good at the start.getting all the way to second.the rain was pretty heavy on the back strait.the poll sitter spun in the kink and bounced off both the inside and outside walls.double yellows came out.eric the owner of west running in second made a bad call to come in for full rain tires.we told him to stay out on the radio.but he came in.so that ruined his race.garret in the customer owned car stayed out and got a 4th place finish.pretty good for a guy that is new to dsr with only 5 races.this year dsr was the second fastest class at the scca run offs.last year at heartland park they where the fastest class.

Screen kits are shipped today... thanks for your patience everyone. They are back in stock, both the normal scoop mesh kits and the wide scoop mesh kits (for TWRD style wide scoops).

Just finished the mesh install. Looks awesome! Very happy with this overall change:

Before After:

I spent about an hour trimming and reducing the mesh on the driver (LH) side. It was probably between 1-2cm too big all the way around. I thought it might have been because I'm using ebay scoops, not OEM. But, the passenger side only required 5 min of adjusting and only on the spot where apk919 pointed out earlier. So, after doing the passenger side, it occurred to me that I might have received one of the Wide pieces for the driver side. I didn't think to check the size between the two pieces when I first received them. It turned out well though, so I'm not complaining. Even with the trimming time on my driver side piece, it was faster and worth it to start with this mesh kit instead of trying to start from scratch.

you had me going there for a minute.i had made one wide set and three regular sets that day.so i went and looked to see.you did get both the regular size grills.im thinking you might have the scoops mounted to close to the car.the exige measurements are 2 5/8 inch near the top and 2 3/8 inch near the bottom.measured from the body to the inside lip of the scoop.the only other thing i can think of is the thickness of your scoops compared to stock ones.mine fit just fine and they where made of the same blocks.sorry you had some trouble with them.they do look good though.
