S1 Exige mixes it up with the big boys
And holds its head up high. It's got a SC Honda in the back but is still giving up a lot of hp to the big boys. Aussie GT series.

Anyone know the spec of the F430GT3 over the standard 430 or Challenge cars? An ex-British GT Cadena racer is currently racing in this series. I don't know how he's doing though... |

I know the ex-Cadena car and driver and unfortunately they haven't had a start in the series this year. Sadly it looks like the series may be dead. After being soundly thrashed by the Fezza and a 10 year old Lotus all of the Porsche guys picked up there bats and balls and went and started their own series (with Porsche's backing) so they can have a race and ensure a Porsche wins. Sore losers much! |

Very cool! I watched every race. Impressive showing for the Lotus. I really hope someday a team is successful campaigning a Lotus here in the states.

Awesome spectacle of power-to-weight. It's interesting how the S1 was able to maintain such great straight away speeds relative to the F430. I just never imagined that could be the case. I wonder if the S1 could hold a lead position or possibly even pull away with higher turning speeds.

At some point the announcer says something like "You'd be tempted to ask him what the lotus brakes like, but there's only 2 turns he actually uses them. He carries so much speed into the turns."

No one recognizes this car from
Gran Turismo 3/4? Absolutely gorgeous example of an S1 and evidently a track monster.
