Second Thoughts Keep Me Up At Night

Ok,

I almost knew this would happen, and if Chris from Atlanta Lotus reads this he will laugh... but I think that the red exige I ordered should be... YELLOW!. I just saw the vid with the yellow gallardo vs. the Ducati 999 and I think I fell in love. Not having been able to see any cars in person it was hard to make a decision so I went with basic red... but now all I can see is sunburst yellow (or whatever the official name is.) Any ideas... I'm sick of waking up at night.

Go red. Don't let any of those wacko's that have yellow blue or orange tell you and different.

Learn to love the Red! It looks really great in the sunshine (pics don't do it justice). Plus, "arrest-me" red is always an appropriate choice for such an @$$-kicking car. You can agonize over color choice forever (everyone does, apparently), but bottom line is- your car is going to look great no matter what color you choose (except maybe KG).

Yes, but have you seen the 999 in RED!

Here's the Gallardo v. 999 video:

See #56 of the 150 ways you know you're an elise (or exige) owner:

56. The colour of your car is perfect until you see, in the flesh,
another Elise in the colour you should have got, not to worry though as
this effect only lasts whilst the other car is still in sight.

Red is clearly the best color. Those weirdos with yellow or orange have completely lost it. My wife call them "crayola" colors. Besides, if you buy an orange one it's just a matter of time before it's totaled at a track. And yellow ones attract all kinds of bugs...

Before I got my BRP one, I had all kinds of color remorse. I decided I had to have green or blue, but it was too late. I even looked into how much it would be to paint it once I got it. Good thing I couldn't change it because after getting mine, I've never wished it was a different color----well, when I saw Snuffy there was a moment, but only a moment...

I rather like the Krypton Green Exige. It's got a certain wierdness to it that looks cool, as well as being a great safety color--I can't imagine anyone being not being able see the car in KG. It's just not worth the extra money. I don't understand having to pay extra for cerain color choices. I'm just happy that my favorite color (BRG) is going to be a base color.

Before I bought mine I was torn between the Storm Titanium and Red (good thing I didn't see the Graphite Grey, it's a great color too). Like you, a lot of sleepless nights. I already have a red Spyder so I thought titanium would be a nice change. I tortured over it for 2 weeks and then finally got a chance to see the two cars next to each other. The choice was easy. Who was I try to kid.......it's Red. This car looks great in any color, that's the problem. Yellow, burgandy, blue, crypton geen...and on and on and on. It's just an overall exceptionally good looking car. I would be happy with any color (except black, I think it hides the lines too much). I now have the red and am so happy with my choice. You will not regret the Red. It's a very hot color. I know this is about what you like, but as a side note, other people's opinions will vary on the more outrageous colors. Some people will like them, some won't, but everybody will think your red Elise is hot. That being said.....pleasant dreams

Before ordering I decided I was going to keep this car a long time. I then asked myself what color I would like in 10 years when I pull it out of the garage. The only choice was red for me. I like a couple of colors better now but in the future I will be glad I chose red.

Sadly there is another thread around here about a poor woman whose KG Elise was hit while parked at a gas station.

It doesn't matter what color you get. What matters is that once you get it it's yours. You'll love it no matter what color it is.

I was hoping for Chrome Orange, but I would have taken a good deal on a second hand Elise in any color. Luckily the deal I was looking for popped up and it was the color I wanted. If you can't decide between red or yellow, and you end up wishing you had the other, at least you'll have the second best color in your opinion. No point in loosing sleep.

I already ordered my Chrome Orange Exige, but I feel for you. I went months before I decided on a color.

I was debating between Yellow, Red, and CO.

The red definitely looks good. You'll be happy. Take a look at this link...

C'mon, man. Everyone knows red cars are faster.

That sounded better last year.

You really can't go wrong with red or yellow -- both great colors for the car. I saw poll results on MSN the other day, and 54% (or possibly more) voted red as the sexiest color of all (if that helps any).
