Supercharging a standard Exige.

Has anyone supercharged their Exige? If so, where did you have it done. Does lotus offer the supercharger they put on the S for the Elise and the Exige? It seems like one could save a lot of money by buying a used Exige and having a supercharger installed instead of buying a new S, and have the exact, if not better results.

Yes, there is a member who supercharged his Exige through Bemani in Switzerland (He's a European owner). Lotus does not currently offer a kit although there is a rumor that they may in the future. Elise does not have the room for the intercooler for a kit like the Exige S.

I think the Tripoint SC kit is a good bet but you have to weigh alot of issues prior to doing something like this... Mainly warrantee and reliability issues (even though I have heard the Tripoint kit is quite reliable).

Heard from multiple people that 6 months after the Exige S there will be a factory backed, street legal S kit upgrade (installed via dealers).

Haven't heard anything regarding price. Don't know if it's smoke or the real deal though.

Try searching on here, there've been some supercharger installs.

Tripoint's kit isn't for the 06 ECU yet. Last I spoke to them, they only want to do local installs on 06 ECU's until they are 100% satisfied with their tune.

Will that be before or after the Stage 3 comes out.

Right before the Exige R I think. The other one that isn't coming.
