heck i'd be throwing a "fat driver CEL" everyday if this were true.

all i know is, my ass fits comfortably in the seat and i can get in and out without a crane. though i always say, i'm probably as tall and as wide as you want to be for our cars

there is also another strange occurrence going on with my tach

If I engage launch control my tach zeros itself like 1k below where I set the second stage limiter(so it looks like I idle around where I set the LC) tho it does the 6k sputter even without LC engaged

(I actually havent used LC yet but just familiarized myself with setting it up)

It should be directly under the A/C controls, attached to the underside of the dash (black connector).

6k is where the safety engine limiter is set, 4k is the cam switch.

i'd definitely be checking the cams at this point, especially if no light on the dash for the MIL.

normally a detected fault that limits the engine will immediately throw a code.

what bothers me the most is that it sometimes won't let me past 6k, it sometimes will just gurgle at 6k and then rev out to 8, and sometimes it will just go all the way to 8... gonna go to checkers after work and check codes if I get nothing I will pull the covers tonight

Edit: GAH I want to jump in on the intercooler group buy but not if I have a serious engine problem that needs fixing

checked Uberpost and searched...

is there a full list of fault codes or do you need to pay for the FSM for that?

By law, the OBD port has to be within reach of the driver's seat. It's almost always under the dash somewhere.

No matter what, the Factory Service Manual can be downloaded from LSU for $25. EVERY Lotus owner should get a copy of the manual.

Oh, and all the codes, their causes, and their cures are listed in the manual...

Hmm well I AM Mr. Fitness... Handles fine with me driving and another 200 lb guy next to me.. Handles better with 90lb girls though. I am also happier with a 90lb girl next to me.

Ok went to checkers and they pulled codes and didnt find any

when I was driving up one of the mountain road I couldn't for the life of me get it to sputter

as soon as I turned onto a down hill road tho it got all sputtertastic on me

not sure its a limiter noise anymore... also when down hill seems to happen MORE if I have TC set to a % slip or turned off than if I just have plain ole LTC on which kinda rules out it being a TC thing
