thread pitch

The 2008 Exige shift knob is the same as the wheel nuts/bolts---------12X1.5 I think. The earlier cars have a different thread! Cannot remember what it is,but take yours off and bring it to a machine shop or a hardware supply store---(not Home Depot or Lowe's)
Maybe the guy who is going to make it?

The thread pitch is M12x1.25 FOR SURE. I purchased a Aspec Titanium Knob for my 06' Exige and was looking for the same information. Sure enough it works on my car

are you sure its 12 x 1.25!? it says on the box that i got that the knob is 12 x 1.25 and it is too big. the stock knob has smaller threads. now the guy is probably giving out all these shift knobs with the wrong size threads. what is the real size anyone!!??

thread pitch

1) take off the shift knob
2) go to a real hardware store
3) approach the bolt supply bin
4) try different sizes of bolts in the bin---metric
5) perhaps take your shift knob to a shop and have them measure it for you?
6) the 08 Exige S240 is the same size as the wheel studs/bolts-----the earlier ones are NOT----------------
I had a "taller" knob made for my[ Very Early]05 Elise from alum. it had to be rethreaded twice-once for my 07 exige S,and once more for my 08.
That is how I know------------------------
they changed from year to year,no clue as to why,but they did-----------

Don't know if this will help or not but the ReVerie CF Shift Knob on the Sector111 website says:

Model Compatibility

M10
Feb '05 - Jan '09 Elise/Exige
Pre- Feb '05 cars with updated M10 shifter.
M12
Feb '09+ Elise
Exige S, S220, S240, S250, S260
211

ReVerie CF Shift Knob

So I think your right with the M10.

10mm 1.5 pitch for round shaft Elise and the majority of Exige.

12mm 1.25 pitch for 240S and newer cars.
