Hello Darksol !!!! ! A best regard to you from France !

I'm agree with you about Phil, and I have no doubt about he's exceptional Personality !

about your answer Darksol : Open the front clam, is not very complicate in reality, but very "looooooonger" to made the concept and test this sort of transformation ! I suppose it's certainly little different on the Elise clam !

In my french post (Garage111.com), I have send few pictures (Page 1 or 2), who shaw many détails ( fasteners, Protex lock, Pin-Pin's, Aérocatch, and other ) to lock the clam on the front of the car (particulary, on is front splinter / Spoiler) ...

I suppose that the Speedster internal-clam is more larger than your Elise / Exige Clam. So, I haved more possibility to tranform it and to remove it !

I am sorry not to talk more with you, because my English is not great ! And I regret that. But I would do its utmost to share my experience on this project with google translate !

Ps : Thank you Xeeeejme !

Looks good! What size 2bular is that?

Small mods I had no problems with.

This kit is excellent.

I'll send you guys the revised panels when they're done, which will be on the next batch... Probably still another month or so out on those though... Atleast you're up and tiliting in the meantime

Oh please sign me up for a new panel! I'm afraid my fettling skills are not up to par

Very Cool Street. You have some nice bits under your clam

For any of those interested, we're about 50% of the way through another batch...

Best,

Phil

More Updates:

I edited the first page so that it summarizes this thread including some pictures. Tilting Clam in the Worx

Also, new kits are probably 4 weeks out or so and the rear panel has been revised to work with over sized exhaust tips.

Please ask questions on this thread or PM me if better to be an offline discussion...

Lord:

Imagine the one you've got, but bigger It looks near identical, just has a wider opening for the tip which includes mounting the panel above the exhaust hanger grommet rather than below. We then expanded the panel vertically, which gained us another 3/4" for the tip opening...

Best,

Phil

Sweet! I also asked Jim to shorten my tip on the 2bular just a bit so i can full tilt. When it gets in I'll post pics obviously.

GREAT! I'd love to add your Exige to the front page

Jim obviously has good stuff, but he sure has a fetish for long tips They all seems to stick past the back of the car like 3 inches--- Not sure why he does that???? Must be a Euro thing

Best,

Phil

The clamhinge is finally on my car as well

With a new rear end

Unfortunately the V1 panel eliminator does not fit around the 8 inch Larini exhaust. For now we've simply modified the existing panel and used it instead - it means that I'll have to pull the top bolts of the panel every time I swivel it but at least the car is usable in the meantime. Hopefully the V2 eliminator will fit around the Larini.

Massive thanks to Rob at DietschWerks for putting the kit in - he even worked on Saturday so I could get the car back in time. Thanks also to Phil for creating the kit and trouble shooting the install.

Update...

25 mins from turning the key off to full tilt on an Exige. Went quite smoothly actually. Only 2nd time tilting too!

That was with a S111 CF roof though, so only 4 bolts holding it on vs the 7 or 8 on stock.

Thanks again Phil!
