It's my tip that is cutting it close. Tip girth is what needs to be addressed in my case. ![]() |

Went through the entire thread but still unclear as to what the pins look like and where they are installed and if there is a picture of the rear eliminator with a stage II exhaust. Also no one has confirmed if the installation causes more rattles or paint scuffing. Can you post a few pictures sorry for the redundancy.
Cheers.......Phil |

Phil,
I'll attach a couple pics of some mounting points. It's quite simple really... Knob bolts... Very light weight, very simple, fast, and they lock things down tight everytime... I have fewer noises and pops than I ever have now. Mainly because with the clam up, I could put little tabs of velcro at many of the problem areas that were unaccessible before. As I drove around, I'd hear one of those annoying rattles and identify the approx location. Get home, raise clam and search out the rattle with clam up. I've found most of them. I think I'll add some pics in the instructions of the areas I found as a perk of purchasing ![]() ![]() Hope these pics and explanation helps... Best, Phil

you lift up then back. I try to make sure my doors are open, although I've tilted 20 times with them shut and haven't scratched the paint. I can't find the appropriate words to express how convenient the tilting claim is when it comes time to work on the engine. The tilt gives you clear access to the entire engine bay plus the wheel well area. It's night and day difference. (not appropriate wording) If I had and Exige I would definitely go the extra steps and install the tilt.

This kit is AWESOME! The hardest part is getting the clam up but it is well worth it if you intend to do any work on your car. Before the tilting clam it took me 2 hours the remove the intercooler. Now I can remove it in under 10 minutes.
I am considering detaching the fiberglass piece that goes over the roll bar as the tips are chipping from opening and closing the clam. Have you tried this Phil?

I have found that if you hold the rear up when you lower the clam ( just like you do when you initally lift the clam ) it is less prone to rubbing and chipping up front around the rollbar. I have tilted mine 40 or more times in the last month and there are no chips on mine.

+1 That's the trick. If you lower the front down first saving the rear for last-- no rubbing... I don't have any chips other than those I earned from designing the initial kit.lol.... So I guess the right way to say it is that I don't have any *new* chips ![]() Best, Phil
