Touring pack difference?

How much difference does the touring pack really make for daily driving? Is the extra sound insulation significant? Any difference in seat comfort or anything else?
Thanks

The sound insulation is worthless. Drive both cars and see for yourself. Leather seats are nice, though.

Seats are the same except the Touring Pack has leather seating surfaces - the Base seats have cloth seating surfaces. I tend to like the cloth as I find leather in hot climates (summer with the top down) to be "sweaty" on every other car I've tried.

As for the sound insulation, most people say they can tell the difference. The insulated/lines soft top might help to be quieter (as many indicate), but I never drive with my top on anyway...

Regarding the soft top...I've owned both. The only advantage I can tell is that the lined one is better keeping heat out.

my "touring top" was De-insulated before I bought it We have lots of heat here, so I just run the hardtop when it gets really hot, or drive the jeep...at least its A/C can handle the task at hand.

padded top (useless)
perforated leather seat inserts (personal taste, i like the cloth better)
leather with a dash of alcantera on the door panels.
carpet along the sills and under the seats (probably the most noticable difference in respects to sound)
rear bulkhead blob of foam
different radio unit (in theory... but i have a touring radio and have seen touring cars with base)
electric windows (sissy!)

at least for '05 that was the difference.

.....oh, and of course the very special touring wheels
