It will be 8 years on the 30th.

The accident was on Route 3 in Newtown Square Pennsylvania.

I broke my C6 and was paralyzed from the neck down. I had surgery and years of rehab. I can walk and function to about 90-95% of where I was before the incident.

After the accident I left Architecture and real estate development and moved into the automotive industry, eventually creating British Racing Group and taking over Lotus Garage.

Every year since the accident, I have celebrates what has now become known as Not Dead Yet Day on the anniversary.

I do have pics if you really want to see them but they are all over this forum and the Internet.

WOW I actually just read through the entire thread because the person asking for pictures showed up and bumped the thread up, I was just confused as to why he would bring up an old thread asking that, but wow that really is a story to tell isn't it?... Do you regret anything about Leaving your old job? What ever happened to the person who hit you?

The guy who hit me was on his cell. The police who responded didn't think I was going to make it and thus all the photos at the scene. They handled him as if he was going to be charged with with manslaughter. He ended up basically walking away from the whole thing.

I honestly believe that the whole thing was a blessing. I'm a happier person now and love what I do. I have a better relationship with my family. Not to get all faithful on everyone but I feel God really used the situation to help me grow and people around me. It's given me a wonderful opportunity to pursue a true passion, prioritize my life and have an opportunity to really make a difference in others lives by sharing my experience.

That's an inspiring story, Robert, I hadn't known that about you. It takes courage to change careers in (I hope I'm right about this) middle age especially after a trauma like that. Hat's off to you.

Happy your still around

Robert,

I remember reading your posts before I took delivery of my Elise back in January 2005. Even after seeing the photos I decided to go through with the purchase because of your perseverance and your positive attitude.

I have never seen the "after" photos, and it looks like the links in this thread are broken. Is there somewhere to see the carnage?

Robert,
Did I send you a picture from the 111 meet in Sherman, CT on October 3rd of '04? I'd have to go digging however if I recall your car was blue. If you do not have one let me know.

Cheers,
Robert
