Then they all went into slow motion, licked their lips, lathered themselves up, and slid themselves up and down my windshield. Or at least I'm trying to trick my brain into locking down the memory that way.

I am somewhat saddened by the reality. You know you're getting old when you look at a bunch of hot cheerleaders and they no longer seem like something you want. They just look like peoples' daughters now.
OK, my mind is more at ease about your paint now. I am still concerned about your mental state, but...

(oh, and this topic is worthless without pics?)

Some middle-aged black dude at a bus stop approached me while my car was stopped at the light, hard top removed.

Him: Daaayum, man, what that cost you? A million?
Me: 1.5 mil, actually
Him, laughing: Really? That car's hot.
Me: Yeah, I just bought another one for my girlfriend too.
Him: You got a bodyguard for her too?
Me: LOL!
Light turns green.

Finally, when there was space between the cars, I changed lanes and zoomed by.

Well anyway, at the light he leaned over and say's "Nice car", I say "Thanks", he then say's "Too bad you drive it like a fcuking idiot" .

My spontatious reaction was to just laugh . The light turned green and away I went.

Pretty strange encounter, I mean it's not like I caused a close call or anything, a classic case of penis envy I'm guessing.
I've had the same thing happen in the Elise and my 350Z. It never ceases to amaze me how many people give you the finger when they are the one's deserving of it.

The time in the 350Z was almost identical. I wasn't even going around anyone. I simply went around a corner (yes, quickly but no drifting or tire smoke or anything) and accelerated to 5 mph over the speed limit:

At the next light.....
Guy in Ford SUV: *gives me the 'roll down your window' sign*
Guy: Hey, nice car!
Me: Thanks.
Guy: If I ever see you driving like that again, I'm calling the police.
Me: *pause.....smile and wave* Have a nice day.

My only reaction was to laugh too, mainly because he drove off quickly before I could retort.
I had a woman walk into the home depot with me ask me if it was my car. I said yes. she said nice car, but too bad we got here the same time with the way you drive it. i said good point.

i had passed her a few blocks prior at a quick pace, but she parked up front and I walked a block so people like her don't ding my ish. we arrived at the door at the same time, although she pulled in just as I was stepping out of my car.

I should have responded that I drive fast to make up for the time I spend walking in parking lots.

A female co-worker just asked me how I can afford such a car, and even went into the "we have to be making around the same $$". Rather than explain that the car does not cost as much as she has assumed, or explain that if she did not have 2 kids she could afford one too..... I just said I took a 2nd job, at Chip&Dales, she can see me perform Thursdays and Saturdays

next time you receive a question like this just politely remind her that the glass ceiling is alive and well and affords you the luxury of buying expensive playthings.

I like it!! I actually get this sort of thing all the time at work. One of my particularly annoying co-workers always says, "Look at his car. It's nice to be making all that money... Don't we have the same job?" I've found that the best responses are the cocky, annoying ones. You know, something like "Yeah, but I'm worth more to the firm" or "Yeah, the boss gives me monthly bonuses for being the firm superstar!"

I joke around with everyone, so everyone assumes I'm always being funny. So I think I'm safe (gulp!). That's the best part about having a rep as a prankster. No one realizes when you're being serious...

NICE! Best answer ever. It would be too mean if you said "because I am not a breeder like you"

Also I don't know how all of you guys can be so nice to people when they tell you eff off about your driving. I would be so shocked if a stranger said that too me...my immediate reaction would be to tell them to go F themselves. It would never occur to me to laugh. Am I an angry person or something?

Don't try and cover for yourself now with the "need pics". You are clearly a gay man or straight woman...it was a group of CHEERLEADERS with WATER at a car wash. Need we say more? Just teasing you. I actually know a few (straight) guys that would pass up this fantasy material because they would worry about swirls in their paint.

XTN you should travel with a set of microfibers and car washing supplies in your trunk just for when these occasions come up!

I do usually keep one clean one with me, just in case I need to spit-shine off some bird poop or something.

Monday I went to the local BMW dealership (Rallye for you people around my area). After parking my car and walking towards the show room I see a guy looking over at me and the car. Conversation goes like this:

Old guy: What kinda car is that?
Me: Oh, it's a Lotus.
Old guy: What powers that thing?
Me: It's actually a Toyota motor. *and I smile*
Old guy: No no, what kinda power does that thing have?
Me: Ohhh, it's got 190 hp.
Old guy: *Looks away and stops talking to me*

Later on as I'm checking out the new M3, I hear him inside saying: "as long as you got a black on black..."

What? You mean he didn't say "murdered out?" He's so not cool.
