I had someone yell across the street to me that he liked the car & was thinking of picking up a kit just like this (too which I just nodded), then he wanted to know if it was fast "with the VW motor in the back."

Smoking crack are you? No woman will take that as any form of a compliment. Cute followed by wrinkles, chubby anything, lazy eye, belly, etc. will override it. At minimum you will get scowled at, more likely you'll be smacked.

Yesterday I had to do a "Poetry Slam" at Starbucks with my Public Communications class. I wrote a poem titled, "A Neglected Vehicle".

The vehicle was talking to the owner saying how it understands that the owner doesn't have much money, etc.

And the professor goes, "Well, we know that's not a problem for you! Tell everyone what car you have!" Meanwhile I'm thinking, "Gee, my car cost less than your Lexus GS350 outside."

I guess it looks expensive

Every once in a while I get some really dumb comments. Like yesterday coming home from work enjoying our nice weather in the 50s

Punk teen riding on a bike with his friends on the side walk going the opposite direction as I am says: that's like driving a death trap.

I'm thinking in my mind, what if I just hit you with this "death trap". No I'm just kidding. I laughed and kept going on my way and took a long detour home.

Kids get their bias from their parents - he probably heard his mom say that while riding in the family transport truck.

I meant "Elite", not "Elise" - I just automatically typed Elise.

dumb comment

I think the most stupid question I have ever heard, was one shared by all of us. The question of "Do you think some Dayton wire wheels would look cool on my elise?". Man it's hard to beat that for stupid.

I've gotten the cute comment from chicks several times. Depending on the situation I will either say "not as cute as you" or "it's not cute, it's COOL!"
